Career Background

Ernest V. Bruchez represents major oil companies, independent oil, and gas producers in the acquisition and disposition of domestic oil and gas assets. He advises sellers and buyers with respect to transaction structures of proposed acquisitions and dispositions. Ernest Bruchez also supervises oil and gas title review and due diligence efforts in connection with financing, acquisition, and sale transactions.

Ernest Bruchez advises University and other Non-Profit Foundations, bank trust departments in connection with division order, landowner relations, mineral leasing, and related matters. He represents oil and gas companies, seismic and service companies, pipelines, and landowners in connection with leasing, right-of-way, operating, surface damage, royalty/JIB/payout and other explorations. In addition, he advises clients and prepares consulting agreements, conveyances, farmouts, operating agreements, division/transfer orders, support agreements, participation agreements, and leases.

Jay Goss has been a partner in Bruchez and Goss since its founding in 1982. He has litigated numerous cases in state and federal courts, including personal injury from both plaintiffs and defendants perspective, product liability cases involving vehicles and construction equipment, condemnation cases, breach of contract cases and various other commercial litigation matters.

He has represented major construction companies, major oil companies, and public entities including counties, cities and school districts in various litigation matters. Jay Goss is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law and Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and is also certified by the National Board of Trial Advocacy.

Patricia Meronoff handles a wide range of real estate transactions for contractors, developers, mortgage lenders, property owners and municipalities. When representing property owners, her practice includes property sale and purchase agreements, attending closing of such residential sales, creating and reviewing easement and license agreements, and drafting boundary line agreements. Contractors and developers use my services to draft and review Declarations of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions, create and consult on Homeowners Associations, negotiate listing and property management agreements, and draft commercial and residential leases. During her years of practice, Patricia Meronoff has represented banks, savings and loans and in such capacity, have drafted and negotiated mortgage financing documents, commercial construction loans and have conducted foreclosures of commercial and residential property.

He is a Bryan-College Station native with deep roots in Brazos and Grimes County. Joseph's scope of practice includes: oil and gas, real estate, and criminal defense.
