Construction Litigation
Bruchez & Goss has over 100 years of combined experience in dealing with problems in the construction industry. The Firm has represented large commercial construction companies in the Brazos Valley area since 1982 and has been involved in major litigation for these firms from Austin to Houston, and from Dallas to San Antonio.
Bruchez & Goss has also been actively involved in defending the rights of general contractors, subcontractors and suppliers in all forms of construction disputes, including breach of contract, lien claims, and negotiation of construction documents in the initial phase of the project. Deadlines for filing liens to protect subcontractors and suppliers are deadly and we are aggressive in insuring that our clients have the best chance of collecting money when another party is not living up to its contractual terms.

Business Litigation
Bruchez & Goss is one of the "go to" firms for business litigation in this region. The Firm has extensive experience in claims involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary obligations and tortuous interference with business relations, deceptive trade practice, and personal injury. Bruchez & Goss has filed or defended suits relating to the oil and gas production in every county surrounding Brazos County. The Firm have also represented independent oil producers in Texas and around the country when their business brings them to this area.
Bruchez & Goss initialize each case as if it were going to trial in order to be ready for a trial if necessary, but more importantly, to increase the chances for an early settlement. Bruchez & Goss partners are involved in business outside the firm and as such, understand that it is important to keep an eye on the bottom line. Each litigation matter is discussed with the clients in terms of the actions necessary to thoroughly prepare for each action.
The Firm is also heavily involved in residential and commercial real estate disputes, collection matters, and violations of non-compete agreements in Bryan and College Station.
General Civil Practice

Personal Injury
Our Firm has done work both on the Plaintiff and Defense side of the bar, representing victims in all ranges of injury-related cases and successfully recovered significant sums on our client's behalf. Likewise, having been successful in the plaintiff arena, insurance companies have sought and retained our Firm to represent their interest for those clients of theirs that have been the subject of injury cases.
Family/Domestic Relations Law
This area of law is usually associated with divorce and child issues between parents, grandparents, various types of family relationships, or close ties to other persons. This area of law includes such matters as adoptions, parentage, child support and visitation, and modifications of prior children's order.
Eminent Domain/Condemnation Proceedings
This area of the law deals with the government or some other entity that has the power to take your property for a necessary or public use. Eminent Domain refers to the right to take property and Condemnation refers to the process used to exercise this right. The law requires the property be paid just compensation for their property based upon a sale of the property as if it occurred between a willing seller and willing buyer. This process starts as an administrative matter but can ultimately be determined in a court of law by a jury.

Real Estate/Banking
Bruchez & Goss handles a wide range of real estate transactions for contractors, developers, mortgage lenders, property owners, and municipalities. When representing property owners, our practice includes property sale and purchase agreements, attending closing of such residential sales, creating and reviewing easement and license agreements, and drafting boundary line agreements. Contractors and developers use our services to draft and review Declarations of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions, create and consult on Homeowners Associations, negotiate listing and property management agreements, and draft commercial and residential leases. Bruchez & Goss has represented banks and savings and loans and, in such capacity, has drafted and negotiated mortgage financing documents, commercial construction loans and have conducted foreclosures of commercial and residential property.
Oil, Gas, & Energy Resources Law
We know the oil and gas industry. One of our lawyers has served as Chair of the Oil, Gas & Energy Resources Law Section of the State Bar of Texas. We provide legal advice to our many oil and gas clients. We review title instruments and advise clients with respect to title issues. We assist in the review and preparation of critical documents, such as oil and gas leases, joint operating agreements, pooling declarations, and unitization agreements. There is virtually no part of the oil and gas business that we have not provided advice and assistance to our clients. Our clients include individuals, independent oil companies, foundations, trusts, universities, non-profits, municipal, and government agencies.
For years, we have litigated issues involving the ownership, operation, exploration, production, processing, transportation and taxation of oil, gas, and other natural resources. We represent mineral owners, royalty owners, producers, foundations, trusts universities, non-profits, municipal, and government agencies. We represent clients involved in petrochemicals, coal, electrical generation and pipeline construction, and the service components to these industries. Bruchez & Goss also practices in the area of Probate and Estate planning. Meeting with clients to structure wills, trusts, and family limited partnerships comprise a large part of this practice. Bruchez & Goss represents executors and family members in the probate and administration of the estate of a decedent through procedures including Letter of Administration, Letters Testamentary, Muniment of Title, Declaration to Determine Heirship, and Small Estate Administration. In connection with such administration, Bruchez & Goss prepares and negotiates family settlements. This area of practice also includes guardianship applications and administration.
