About

Joseph Briers is a Bryan-College Station native with deep roots in Brazos and Grimes Counties. He joined the firm in 2013 and became a partner in 2017. In 2022, he became a shareholder in Lawyers Title Company of Brazos County. His practice focuses on oil and gas, real estate, and civil litigation.

Joseph represents landowners, mineral owners, and privately held oil and gas companies in a wide range of transactional and litigation matters. He routinely negotiates and drafts oil and gas leases, pipeline easements, surface use agreements, water use agreements, seismic permits, and mineral and royalty interest sales. He also represents buyers and sellers in a variety of real estate transactions, including commercial, farm and ranch, and residential properties. His litigation experience includes disputes involving oil and gas operations, real estate, construction, and landlord-tenant matters. Clients rely on Joseph’s practical approach and industry knowledge to navigate complex legal issues and protect their property interests.
